Just about to celebrate his 8th year with us is our Key Account Sales Manager: Kier Whiteley. If you have a keen eye you may well be saying “Hang on, I know him from somewhere”, and you just might. He graduated from University with a Performing Arts degree and has been an Extra in Coronation Street, Peaky Blinders, Foyles War and Safe House to name but a few.
So how come he’s with us then? Well everyone knows actors are out of work more than they’re in it, and Kier is a sensible lad. He was working three jobs when he first came here to cover a one month vacancy, but he slotted in perfectly and quickly became a valued member of the sales team. He now covers Key Accounts, export responsibilities and deals with Bond It in the USA: “I love it cos it’s busy, there are management decisions to be made and I enjoy the communication”, he says.
Outside work he likes true crime documentaries, going to the gym and dance music, but most of all he enjoys a good long walk - so much so that he recently took on a trek to Everest Base Camp for charity. And now, to top it all off, 12 weeks ago his partner Jade gave birth to a baby boy who they’ve named Rome. “Why Rome?” we asked “Was he born there?”. “No, we just loved the name”.
